Growing up, cont.
This blog has been coming for a long time.
Lots of people have bias against old people, and i think for the most part its because the younger a person is the greater chance of them having a ‘sparkle in their eyes’. Take kids for example, they learn new shit all of the time, their worlds are constantly changing and expanding full of constant curiousity. Their eyes light up when one of their never ending questions is answered and when they are placing new information into their exsisting schemas or creating a new schma. Anyways, the point is people around a certain age group are losing the sparkle in their eyes at about the same rate as the seemingly never ending snowfall that’s recently decided to come down upon my hometown.
Is this what happens when high school ends? Its only a matter of time before mostly everyone gives up trying to learn new things, do new ideas become too difficult? People slip into this sort of ‘blah land’. Which mostly consists of only the things needed again to wake up the next day, basic food, entertainment, a meaningless job is neccessary. This all sounds like adult life, I guess I’m just witnessing the transition to boring adulthood. But its still so strange to see everyone giving up, exactly what I cant place. Except I know for sure none of these people seem fulfilled..
